It is with sadness that we announce the death of Frank Jevons. Frank had been an 'official' member of Rumcars since 1988, but like so many microcar enthusiasts oflong standing I remember Frank as always being there especially at the Nationals. He passed away in late June after a long illness. He was one of the people to have an interest in microcars long before they became collectable, in fact as a teenager he desperately wanted one of the Peels which were then in production. In later years he developed an interest in and subsequently a collection of Messerschmitts. He also owned several other microcars including an Isetta, a BMW 600, a Frisky and a Scootacar. His last on-the-road microcar being a Fiat Gamine. Over the years, many enthusiasts have benefitted from his helpfulness and his encyclopaedic knowledge of microcars, especially Messerschmitts. He will be sadly missed and our sympathies go to his wife Pat and his family.

It is with sadness that we announce the death of Martin Boddy, following a short illness. Martin was a founder member of the Bug Club, and was responsible for saving a vast amount of Bond records, photographs and publicity material when it was at risk of being destroyed. The RUMcar News Editor only met Martin while researching material for the book Microcars, and found him to be knowledgeable, enthusiastic and extremely helpful and supportive. That archive material, meticulously filed, was made available without question. Our thoughts and sympathy are with Martin's family.
