Andy Carter? On eBay
« on: July 10, 2015, 09:24:20 PM »
Obviously I am after bits for my Trident Replica, so have Peel Trident search saved.

Today is listed a Peel Bodyshell that I have seen the exact pictures on his site, and reading the write up, says he is retiring.

One to keep an eye on, as mentions other replica body shells to sell.
Locost self build car.
3 Mk1 Raleigh Choppers, 2 Mk2 Raleigh Choppers
Mk2 Raleigh Chopper Tandem
Sinclair C5 Restored
Austin J40 Pedal Car to restore
Peel Trident Replica to build

So Andy is hanging up his GRP gloves then?
I dont suppose that will halt the constant stream of reps one bit as so many others are making the shells.

I guess that's why his Modern Microcar website has been off-line since last year.

I was enjoying watching TV with my pet TRIDENT as I read this.
Glad I got it made by him, but sorry to see him stop.
His work has always been top notch, and he has always seemed humble about it.
This kind of talent in your own backyard should have been better appreciated.
I made sure that he was publically acknowledged during the World Microcar Meet near Chicago in 2010.
If there is ever a Microcar Hall of Fame, I nominate Andy for his contributions to both saving some of our most rare, but incomplete/ damaged micro cars, and increasing the public stock of rare cars that would otherwise be known to a smaller percentage of the public.
