I thought it was our topolino that had been in a crusher  ;)so Italian for me . On the other point , you wouldn't get many people Inter it  :)

Ouch!  I can't help looking at that and wondering at what speed you should stop making steering inputs, 'cos I suspect 10mph is about the top end.

Thanks to the clues provided by Chris and Bob I think I  the car is a   
DAF
Built in the Netherlands in 1949 the royal range car: DAF-kini was designed by Hub van Doorne as a small car for the masses.  Nicknamed “ (rijdende) regenjas" which is literally "(driving) overcoat" the vehicle was never put into mass production. The only prototype that existed was purchased by a circus though today the car is now at the DAF museum in Eindhoven. (Netherlands).

I did post this answer at lunch time today but it seems to have got lost in the ether. Jean
