Microcar gear box

Hi I have a Microcar Mc2 2007 modellbut I am having a problem with my automatic gearbox, when I put my gears into reverse and then want to go into drive my car still goes backwards for a foot or so and then jumps into gear, I have had 2 switches fitted at the bottom of the gear stick but it has made no difference, can anybody help PLEASE.

This is the optional extra Surprise Drive and it should be accompanied by the car making a sort 'Oh' sound! What a bizarre fault. No idea save to check the linkage on the selector assembly.
