Carefull tyre fitters?
« on: July 04, 2011, 01:14:17 PM »
Hi all. I just got my Isetta wheels powder coated, the wheels are the one piece type as opposed to split rims this means I have to put them in the hands of a tyre fitter to get the new tyres on, does anyone have any experience of having the new finish damaged by the fitters, what precautions could I take? I have only have micros with split rims so far and have done the job myself.

This is a question I wondered about. The flippant answer that you should not powder coat them does not solve the problem as Ali wheels are usually coated too. So a proper fitter should be able to fit tyres without damaging the rim.
