Let's hear it for the scruffy cars......
« on: May 26, 2009, 03:31:59 PM »
You know, some folk really should be more careful over what they say on this forum & for the danger of what they may start.   ;)  Take for instance, Bob Purton's comment iof "Can't abide scruffy cars on the forum" within the recent Mystery Car post, as such a comment is guarenteed to be like a red rag to a bull when such a person as I is within earshot.....   :-*

Can you guess what's coming?.....   8)

 Yes folks, you know me too well,  ;D & without further ado, I present, in Bob's honour;

        THE SCRUFFY MICROCAR GALLERY!

            :o        ;D            8)            :-*              :D

And we can't possibly celibrate scruffy cars without the daddy itself......    ;D

Let's have more scruffy car pics added here everybody, more, more, much more...........!

That Mopetta was in Spain
I got an email from the owner who was looking for information to restore it.
apparently he emailed a number of people and one of them simply asked him if he wanted to sell it and he said "yes" and so it was sold.

It could have been mine for the asking, but I never thought to ask!  (I am not a collector...)

anyways, the car is now in Japan

here is my entry to the Scruffy Car gallery:

I think Scruffy Cars that Run would be a good topic as well!

Although I prefer cars in good nick I do also like to see the scruffballs, nice pics. Jim: what is that blue van in the foreground, and is that a Tempus behind it ?

My Schmitt was pretty scruffy too when I got it . Here it is in part.

Rob, Do you recognise the vehicle in the garage doorway?

The thing is they should not be left to stay scruffy or they rot away and we have no microcars.

To think I passed up the chance to buy this scruffy one. One of two of the only original British imports and the only ones to be made with dynastarts! Where is it now? Is it still in the UK, YES!! Will it be at the celebration weekend? NO!!

I thought you would know it, the world of Gordon fans has to be fairly small. Now you know where my schmitt wreck came from.  Cheers, Bob   I must remember your raspberry wagon wheel.
